Ambient Roulette

More fine Ambient / Experimental sound design from Cycles & Spots in the form of 50 long modulating samples / stems (Up to 3 minutes). These are meant to be either layered or to use single samples as a basis for a songs / soundscapes or you cut out pieces for further processing or to feed a granular synthesizer. As much as possible no reverb and delay have been used (unless crucial part of the design) for you to choose your own and apply to the samples (all of the content profits a lot from using reverb on top). A few of the samples use tempo synchronization but mostly no sync was the aim to keep it more interesting in the Ambient / Experimental context.

Cycles & Spots are back at NI Reaktor with Coordinates, an instrument featuring 2 sample players and 4 effects that can be manipulated with 12 LFOs. 256 finest loops are implemented which lead to rhythmic and harmonic output like soundscapes, percussive sequences. So this instrument is good for Ambient and Dance stuff as well. 20 presets are included. Even when just solely using the internal sample(s) untouched great results can be archived and the 12 LFOs bring it to the next level with long ongoing possible modulations. Deep Data Loops present 10 Chillout construction kits with Wav loops and the corresponding MIDI files. All kits have 90 BPM and feature atmospheric pads and melodies plus soft rhtyhmical / percussive content and bring a relaxed Ambient / Chillout feeling. They are great to be extended, mashed up or you can dissect them and use single elements / loops as a basis to compose your own songs / soundscapes. The given MIDI files allow you to exchange all sounds to be coming from your favourite hard or software synthesizers and drum machines.
