Cycles & Spots crafted a loops recorder in Reaktor that follows the basic idea of having 4 tape machines in your studio, though it didn’t quit stop there. This instrument can add randomness to the playbacks and by that can build everchanging compositions. Another main point is to have no tempo syncronization which adds more unpredictability and excitement. Double and half speed, forward and reverse play, amplitude envelope triggers and volumes can be manually set or randomly triggered. To get more of the old skool vibe, a tape sound emulation can be turned on for a bit of saturation and less or more of flutter and wow. On top of that the instrument features a tremolo effect for volume or left / right panning (also random rate possible), a dubby delay (watch out for the feedback) and a big reverb. So it’s easy to get real big sounding pieces out of this. The instrument is mainly to make Ambient, experimental music or soundscapes but it all depends on what you feed it with.

Mutator is a multi effect for NI Reaktor combining Tremolo, Resonator, Reverb and Delay. All these effects can be triggered / modulated from rhythmical to randomly on certain parameters. This mutates the incoming signal from subtle to drastic, like a bit of rhythmical reverb slightly changing its time or completely modulating wet signals which make the original sound unrecognizable. This makes this ensemble useful to enhance your overall mix and make your tracks more alive or to get experimental and make Ambient or IDM music. Mutator comes with 50 ensemble presets and each FX module also contains around 50 presets which can be easily (re)combined to create more ensemble presets. For those who want to dive deeper naturally all the FX modules and triggers / modulations can be changed or set up completely from scratch. The parameters which can be triggered / modulated are color-coded to make things easier.

Cycles & Spots deliver another cool loops mangler with 240 implemented fresh loops tailored towards IDM, Experimental and Ambient music productions. The loop sample players allow to manipulate start position, loop region and pitch with 4 available LFOs (conventional shapes to random ones), mixable through mod matrices. The sample selection can be set to random. This way you can create evolving soundscapes / rhythms easily. The provided samples give the instrument its distinctive experimental vibe but you can import samples per drag & drop as well. The end sound result is rounded up with a modulatable delay (unsynced, mili seconds) and reverb.
