Cycles & Spots strike back with another fresh instrument for NI Reaktor – a drum machine with probability and lots of modulation options, good for IDM, Trap, Dubstep and Experimental / Ambient productions. It comes with 300 integrated samples (Kick, Snare, Hihat) and 30 presets. Via a modulation matrix 8 destinations can be set with 2 drawable envelopes and 6 LFOs. On top a buffer repeater can be randomly triggered. That means the beats (or soundscapes) don't need to be static and rather boring but instead keep modulating over time and remain exciting.

Cycles & Spots deliver more Ambient / Experimental / IDM sources in the form of 51 new long modulating samples / stems made with the use of modular synthesis. The length of these Wav files is up to 4 minutes, the minimum is 50 seconds, some come with variations / mutations. To be suitable for many different creations / inspiration sparks, the recordings range from atmospheric to percussive and from melodic to inharmonic. These are meant to be either layered or to use single samples as a basis for a songs / soundscapes or you cut out pieces for further processing or to feed a granular synthesizer. You can find tempo synchronization yourself in some of the recordings but generally no sync was the aim to keep it more interesting in the Ambient / Experimental context. You'll find some samples with lots of effects and others rather dry. All in all this is well rounded collection, meaning lots of diversity for lots of inspiration.
