Cycles & Spots deliver the sequel to SampleMod, a sequenced sample slicer with different play modes and lots of modulation options. New in this version is the slicer using (adjustable) transient detection, 300 new handpicked samples that work well with the instrument (importing possible), more flexible LFOs (routing), various randomize / reset buttons and better modulation visualization. The implemented samples total 2 Gigabytes, so lots of possibilities to create your own presets. CPU usage is decent so more than one instance could be layered to create more complex soundscapes / songs, although using only one can create interesting long modulating results.

Cycles & Spots deliver 319 Wav loops inspired by the Musique Concrète genre from the early 20th Century for Ambient / Experimental productions. Much like the original style these loops are made from real life recordings and then were transformed into new contexts, sometimes rhythmical and other times on the texture side. The source material is mostly tuned percussion instruments (6 of 7) and therefore this part of the series focuses more on the melodic side. Tape mimicking techniques were used (Speed / Cutting / Rearranging, Delay / Tape Heads, Wow, Flutter) and also modernized effects like buffer manipulation were added to keep the spirit of the genre but resulting in still fresh sounding material to create temporary Ambient music with a certain edge. Most loops come with many variations. Use single loops to get inspired or combine multiple ones and build soundscapes and more with this collection.

Cycles & Spots present an experimental randomizable drum sequencer plugin with unusal grooves / shuffles. 3 samplers can be triggered with 32 sequencers, each with independent length and tempo so that even long modulating rhythms can be created. 50 presets can be used right away or quickly changed with randomize buttons for each sequencer and by selecting different sounds, 420 one-shot samples are included. BeatFreak makes beats / rhythms from standard to super crazy either in a quick simple way or by editing step by step in deep detail. The instrument works with the Sounfont format which can hold multiple Wav files inside, these widely spread and for the most part free downloadable banks can be imported as well.
