Cycles & Spots return with another great Deep House variety pack featuring 10 construction kits with Wav loops and the corresponding MIDI files (everything from sounds to drums). The 10 kits span quite a range of deep styles but all come with lots of feeling and smooth grooves. The chords are mostly of an atmospheric nature (most of their MIDI files feature full chords, a few use chord sounds instead). As always, C & S standards as key and tempo labeling, preview mixes, drum mixdowns are also a given here. The drum sections consist of 6 elements, the harmonies base on chord, bass, melody. The latter can range from pads to arpeggios to stab synths.

Cycles & Spots present a polyphonic analog modeled synthesizer with a CV sequencer which features a quantizer and modulatable note range and speed. The oscillators can be cross-modulated (Sync, FM). The possible outcome sound results in bell tones to synthetic melodies, in other words it ranges from harmonic to disharmonic sounds, from beautiful to experimental, from plucks to pads. This is reflected in the 50 presets it comes with. To make new ones an integrated randomizer option can help. The sequencer can also be turned off / into MIDI input, which means all the presets can also be played by a keyboard / controller.

Cycles & Spots are back with the deeper side of Minimal Techno with these 300 Wav loops pack. The content is all entirely synthesized, no samples have been used here. The loops contain mostly percussive elements, like all kinds of rhythmic sequences besides bass-ish kick loops and chord lines. If not any modulation is involved the loops are rather short to keep the drive and hypnotizing factor. Inside you'll find many variations which lined up turn out as evolving sequences eventually. Different kind of synthesis have been used like FM, Resonators, specific drum synths, noise transform techniques for instance, all maintaining the needed quality. The style is kind of smooth and groovy but if you want it more aggressive you could add a fat (side-chaining) kick to the bass loops.
