Typical sounds from that Boogie Disco era were carefully choosen, meaning finest 80s stuff. But all sounds can be changed to be coming from your favourite hardware or software synthesizers and drum machines, if so desired. However, edit, arrange or mash up these kits as you like to. Maybe single loops and MIDI files bring you inspiration for different directions as well. Maybe something like speeding up the tempo and adding harder beats? You'll know better.

Cycles & Spots have created a generative (self-playing) wavetable synthesizer for NI Reaktor. It is perfect for Ambient / Abstract music productions and can generate ever modulating sounds. It features 2 wavetable oscillators that are triggered by an LFO each. These syncable LFOS have various shapes including sample & hold and can be cross-modulated. They also can influence the wave positions. These LFOs bring lots of life into the potentially ever modulating sound. Random pitch can be applied and also quantized to certain scales and keys. Last but not least 4 added effects (frequency shifter with its own 3rd LFO, grain delay with more random options, diffusion delay, reverb) round up the output and make it sound spacy/ roomy and dimensional in terms of the stereo field. Spawn is great for sound design and creating soundscapes or effect sounds, both harmonic and disharmonic.

Finally Cycles & Spots returned to the Nu Funk sound and deliver a follow up to Nu Funk Styles with 10 new fresh construction kits featturing Wav loops and the corresponding MIDI files. The concept here is mixing an old skool Funk feeling with rather modern sounds, that is typical 80s style with more prominent drums and upgraded synths. All sounds could be exchanged via the given MIDI files to be coming from your favorite soft or hardware sources. Audio previews, tempo and key-labeling is also here a given standard. Arrange, mix, edit these kits or combine them or use only single elements of different kits or solo for totally different projects. All of the content is royalty free and can be used in releases right away.
