Cycles & Spots deliver 327 Wav loops inspired by the Musique Concrète genre from the early 20th Century for Ambient / Experimental productions. Much like the original style these loops are made from real life recordings and then were transformed into new contexts, sometimes rhythmical and other times on the texture side. Tape mimicking techniques were used and also modernized effects like buffer manipulation were added to keep the spirit of the genre but resulting in still fresh sounding material to create temporary Ambient music with a certain edge. Most loops come with many variations. Use single loops to get inspired or combine multiple ones and build soundscapes and more with this collection.

Cycles & Spots are back at building Reaktor instruments with this new sample-based random sound generator. It comes with 128 samples implemented (Import possible) and 20 presets that can be easily used to create more sounds / sequences. It can infinitely trigger and play but also can be played via MIDI input and played like a synthesizer. It's perfect for Ambient / Experimental productions and can be used for sound design as well. A bouncing ball is triggering random starting points of 3 samplers which can be shaped in various ways like the usual pitch, speed, adsr but also in playback speed and grain size / smoothness. Further a filter can be applied and modulated plus reverb and delay do its magic on top. This all leads to lush atmos, dubby soundscapes, chaotic rhythms and into avantgarde territory.

Reaktor Full Version 6.5.0. And Higher Needed
Cycles & Spots crafted a loops recorder in Reaktor that follows the basic idea of having 4 tape machines in your studio, though it didn’t quit stop there. This instrument can add randomness to the playbacks and by that can build everchanging compositions. Another main point is to have no tempo syncronization which adds more unpredictability and excitement. Double and half speed, forward and reverse play, amplitude envelope triggers and volumes can be manually set or randomly triggered. To get more of the old skool vibe, a tape sound emulation can be turned on for a bit of saturation and less or more of flutter and wow. On top of that the instrument features a tremolo effect for volume or left / right panning (also random rate possible), a dubby delay (watch out for the feedback) and a big reverb. So it’s easy to get real big sounding pieces out of this. The instrument is mainly to make Ambient, experimental music or soundscapes but it all depends on what you feed it with.
