The concept here is that vintage sampler material is used as a basis and then mostly even more gritty digital processing is added to get that specific aesthetic. Cycles & Spots are back with another instrument for Native Instruments Reaktor, a poly synth especially handy for Ambient / experimental music productions, useable in other genres as well though. The main idea behind this synth is modulating the sounds over time, hence the name Motion. This is achieved by influencing the waveforms of oscillator one and two by LFOs. These have various shapes (sinus to random) and can be synced or run freely. The final icing on the cake is executed by the effects, especially the powerful reverb and delay.
