Ambient Roulette

Cycles & Spots created a a new version of their first Reaktor instrument Lifeform with 400 samples implemented, a perfect tool for Ambient productions and soundscape building. It's very easy and quick to get beautiful or harmonic or disharmonic textures, even using only one sample. These can be very dynamic in terms of changes in the actual sound over long time periods (You can cross-modulate all LFOs with each other). Though it is also possible to dive deep into this instrument and control every little detail. The Lifeform concept is to have 2 granular samplers playing and mixing these together plus lots of modulation. In fact this version has a modulation matrix featuring 8 LFOs (sine to random) and 8 destinations for the granular samplers. Both samplers feature the standard grain funktions and can be frequency shifted and equalized. Effect-wise there are grain delays for the left and right channel and a superb lush reverb.

Another cool sample masher for Reaktor from Cycles & Spots, this time tailored towards Ambient / soundscapes productions with over 2GB of selected loops. This instrument layers up to 4 samplers (loop players), can offset the playpack positions and add effects and lots of modulations. Each of the four players has a dedicated modulation matrix with 8 destinations to make the sound feel more alive and mutating over a long time span. For this 3 LFOs with 5 shapes including random ones (brown noise, sample & hold) can be routed to 8 destinations per player. Of course a nice delay and a smooth reverb are implemented as well as a frequency shifter and filters for each player (lopass, bandpass, hipass, notch). The instrument comes with 10 presets but really you can yourself create easily and quickly many new ones while having a blast.

This time Cycles & Spots created a polyphonic sequencer instrument for NI Reaktor to trigger either the inbuilt synthesizer or external ones. It has several sequencing modes from traditional to Random to LFO but even the traditional one has numerous order options like backwards, inside out, zigzag and more. Each Step Notes can also be randomized, tempo synced or not. This makes it very fruitful and usable for many musical genres. It comes with 20 sequencer presets and the synhtesizer also features 20 presets. Speaking of the latter, it's an analog modeled synth which let's you mix 4 oscillators where the sine is FM-able and the pulse with width modulation option.
